Study Abroad in Uruguay

The smallest Hispanic country in South America, Uruguay is bordered to the north by Brazil, to the west by Argentina, to the south by the Rio de la Plata, and to the east by the Atlantic Ocean. Many believe the country’s wide sandy beaches are the best in the world, to which the invasion of the beach-loving Argentineans can attest. Safety, health standards, and political stability are among the best in Latin America.

Buenos Aires – Located about 3 hours southwest across the Rio de la Plata is the cosmopolitan city of Buenos Aires with fine dining, lots of shopping and a very active nightlife.

Iguazu Falls – Set in a dense jungle where Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina meet, these waterfalls may be the most spectacular on the entire planet.

Beaches – Go east to the great beaches of Uruguay and then north to more beaches in Brazil. Remember, Uruguay’s summer is during North America’s winter.
