Study Abroad in Poland

Study Polish Language & More

Located in the heart of Europe, Poland has a radically different look about it these days, having exchanged the grayish tinge of a state-regulated society for the anything-goes attitude of a private enterprise. Polish people have vigorously maintained a distinct sense of culture and community despite the trend towards a more modern life. Also, Polish hospitality is legendary, and there's a natural progression from a chance meeting to an introduction to the extended family. A diverse range of activities is available for all to enjoy such as basking in the sun on the beautiful Baltic coastal beaches, camping and hiking on the rocky mountain peaks, and soaking up Polish culture in one of the many historical institutes or breathtaking cathedrals.

Programs in Poland:

Jasna Gora Monastery - This beautiful monastery located in Czestochowa (just a two hour bus ride from Krakow) has been a pilgrimage destination for hundreds of years. People from not only all over Poland but also all over the world visit Jasna Gora to view the magnificent painting of the Virgin Mary also known as the Black Madonna of Czestochowa.

Auschwitz- Every year more than 1 million people visit the Auschwitz Birkenau concentration camps located in Southern Poland about 50 kilometers west of Krakow. Once the town of Oswiecim, it was renamed Auschwitz by the German Nazis and several concentration and extermination camps were established and occupied in the beginning of 1940 until 1945.

Gdansk- Lying on the Southern coast of the Baltic Sea, many tourists flock to this city for its well-preserved nature and environmentally friendly atmosphere. Gdansk is comprised of beaches, bathing grounds, zoological gardens and the famous Oliwa Park. This is the perfect destination for those seeking leisure and outdoor adventure. Gdansk is also a large center of economic life and culture.

Royal Castle at Wawel Hill- One of Krakow's finest attractions, the castle was home to three dynasties of Poland's monarchs. The interior is filled with priceless, rare and ancient artworks and objects.

Raclawice Panorama- A breathtaking panoramic painting of the Battle of Raclawice, an important event when a Polish rebellion defeated the Russian army. This painting is one of the most visited attractions of Wroclaw, a city well known for its numerous galleries and its flourishing art scene.
