Each region and brewery produces beer with a distinct taste and body. Enjoy! Heidelberg – One hour south of Frankfurt, visitors are irresistibly drawn by its magnificent Gothic-Renaissance castle. This pretty town is also known for The Great Vat, a wine vat that holds over 220,000 litres! Lübeck – A glorious Medieval town off the main tourist trails. It is a quiet alternative to the more spectacular attractions further south. The old town was heavily bombed in WWII, but has been sensitively rebuilt and the town's stately charm is apparent today.
