The Galapagos Islands – By being 600 miles off the Ecuadorian coast, the animals and plants here developed differently than in most areas of the world. Half of the plants, 25% of shore fish and nearly all the reptiles are found nowhere else in the world. If you have the money, we highly recommend that you visit the Galapagos.
Otavalo – Surrounded by lakes and volcanoes, this colorful indigenous market features artisans, weavers, and vendors from miles around. There is a "leather town" nearby with fantastic deals on leather items. Bring a bag for all your new items, or just buy one!
Baños – Small town known for its many hot springs and relaxing surrounding nature.
Atacamos – The beach!
Inga Pirca – One set of ruins from the pre-Inca culture of the Cañaris are over 1,000 years old. These form the foundation for the newer Inca ruins making Inga Pirca a unique double set of ruins.
