Graduate Level Academic Credit:
University of Southern Mississippi

There are three types of graduate level credit that you can earn from USM while studying in a foreign country: Graduate level language credits, Graduate credits for Study Abroad (for teachers/professionals), and a Master of Arts in Teaching Foreign Languages.

The following AmeriSpan programs have been approved by USM for graduate level credit in foreign languages:

• Canada: Montreal 
• Costa Rica: Alajuela, Heredia, San Joaquin de Flores, Monteverde & San Jose
• Ecuador: Quito
• France: Bordeaux & Paris
• Germany: Berlin
• Italy: Rome
• Mexico: Cuernavaca & Oaxaca
• Spain: Barcelona, Madrid, Marbella, Sevilla

This option is available for ALL language levels. 

Graduate Credit
Please check the Closed Dates of your language program.
If the school is closed for more than two days in one week, that week will not count towards the total number of weeks required for credit.
