Buenos Aires is beautiful! I enjoyed the city and the school very much. The placement at the hospital was also a very good experience. All of there staff were incredibly helpful!

Having done this now 4 times, I have a certain appreciation and perspective of what works. The school itself was really good. A pleasant surprise is that in larger schools the staff is a bit preoccupied and not as friendly- not the case at COINED. They are very helpful and personal in their service. Although the facility is a bit dated, the people that run it do a very good job. The mother in the house was fantastic and really went way beyond expectation. She even helped and negotiated clothing purchases; just a fantastic lady.From a language perspective, it is a good program; lack of English speakers is a benefit and Buenos Aires is a GREAT city. The fact that there are so many Brazilians is a benefit since they can't speak English well so you MUST communicate in Spanish.Buenos Aires is a great town- 2 weeks and I never felt the need to leave for an excursion outside the city.

Learning to speak Spanish proficiently has been the most frustrating, challenging, and rewarding experience of my life. I could not have done it without immersion. Buenos Aires is an amazing city and Argentina is a fabulous country. Everyone should go there! The Spanish is unique and once you understand Argentine Spanish, you cna understand almost every accent from every region.
