Best Programs for Families

Most AmeriSpan programs are open to families regardless of whether or not every member will be studying. In most locations, group instruction is open to children ages 14 and older; younger children usually receive private tutoring. In most cases, AmeriSpan can make childcare arrangements with your host family, nannies or at local daycare centers.

We have evaluated all of our partner programs as to their attractiveness for families. In each case the language program, homestays, school setting and location were given a grade of A, B, C or D. The chart below lists the 8 best AmeriSpan programs for families.  (Many locations in South America have great options for children as well, but the cost of flights takes them out of the ratings. If interested, please contact an AmeriSpan representative for more information.)

Antigua (Guatemala)

Antigua offers a local AmeriSpan field office, low-priced language programs and bi-lingual daycare. All homestays are within walking distance to the school and most can accommodate entire families.
