Spanish Immersion in Costa Rica
Learning Spanish abroad in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica is one of many language immersion programs offered by AmeriSpan. Known as the Switzerland of Central America, Costa Rica has an abundance of natural beauty and is populated by a friendly, well-educated people. Costa Rica has obtained the highest standard of living in Central America by embracing democracy and disbanding its army. This small country is a paradise for nature lovers with national parks, jungles, volcanoes, beaches, and more water per square mile than any other country in the world, excluding New Zealand. However, the small pre-Columbian indigenous population was wiped out by diseases brought to the new world by the conquistadors.
Learn Spanish Language in Costa Rica:
The town itself is called Quepos, but the area closer to the national park shares the park’s name. Once a thriving fishing port, Quepos and Manuel Antonio now survive on the growing number of tourists that the national park attracts. The national park is both a beach and a forest where one can spot: white face monkeys, sloths, iguanas, and other wildlife. Even when the park is crowded with tourists, one can go a bit further to find a private piece of paradise. The town is full of restaurants and hotels. Beaches and water sports are available.
School Facilities:
Located 2 miles from Manuel Antonio National Park and close to hotels and restaurants. The school has 12 classrooms, a kitchen, lobby, library with audio visual materials and computers with internet. Wireless internet connection is also available. There is a nice terrace with wonderful ocean views. The beach close enough for a break time walk. Capacity is 70 students/day

Airport Pickup: Included
Airport Pickup Comments:
Airport pickup in San Jose and public bus transfer from San Jose to Manuel Antonio is included in your program tuition.
IMPORTANT: Please plan your arrival into San Jose with the information below in mind. You must provide AmeriSpan with your arrival information at least two weeks prior to your arrival for this included option to be arranged.
There are 3 buses that leave San Jose from the Coca-Cola bus station: 6:00am, 12:00pm, and 6:00pm. The bus ride takes approximately 3.5 hours. Passengers need to be at the bus station 15 minutes before departure. Upon arrival via public bus to Manuel Antonio if you opt for homestay lodging the host family will be awaiting your arrival at the Quepos bus station.
