Internship in Honduras
HONDURAS shares borders with Nicaragua, Guatemala and El
Salvador. Historically, the Mayans were prevalent in some parts of the country and their influence continues today. Despite a stable political situation and low cost of living, Honduras is largely undiscovered by tourists. With a seemingly endless stretch of deserted beaches, jungles, mountains and Mayan ruins, Honduras has much to offer.
Although a part of Latin America, La Ceiba has a distinct Caribbean flair
and deserves its reputation as the ‘fun’ city of Honduras. Volunteers in La Ceiba can contribute to conserving Honduras’ natural resources by working in National Park Pico Bonito or in the Iguana project. Tasks range from trail maintenance and raising environmental awareness to assisting researchers.
If you’re more drawn to community service, your help is needed at the Red Cross, drug prevention project or children’s home. Those with the right qualifications can help AIDS workers in treatment and prevention in rural areas.

Honduras Language Classes:
4 hrs/day private (max 4) Spanish classes
