Mexico Volunteer Placement
The Municipal System for the Integral Development of Families (DIF) is a public organization which aims to provide comprehensive welfare services for the development of families within the state of Guanajuato. The DIF is targeted towards those most in need- women, children, and the elderly. They also hope to improve the community by creating better living conditions. This placement in particular cares provides rehabilitative care to those in need, in the form of language and listening, education, and physical therapy.
Volunteers will work as assistants to therapists, arranging creative activities for the patients and updating and managing clinical records.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00a.m.-2:00p.m.
Location of Placements: Guanajuato
Lodging: Host family
Requirements:
- Minimum age: 21 years.
- Minimum commitment: 4 weeks.
- Minimum Spanish level: Mid-Intermediate
Other Comments:
The maximum number of volunteers that this organization accepts is 3-5.
