My Fundraising Story - Chance Christensen

Hi, My name is Chance Christensen and I am a 23 year old premedical student.  This summer I plan on spending 10 weeks in La Ceiba Honduras, volunteering in a variety of medical settings.  All my life I have had an amazing opportunity to grow up with regular contact with the Latin community near my home.  They are an amazing people with a lot of love and in great need of help in many of the outlining areas.  I have also always been interested in the medical field, which lead me, at age 18, to become a EMT and CNA so I could work in our local Emergency Room.  This was a great experience, but it just added kindling to the fire of my desire to be a medical professional.

I had the opportunity to live in Taiwan, Taipei for a time and also had the opportunity to volunteer in medical facilities in the area.  My experience in Honduras will be amazing and I feel I will be a benefit to the people of that region but I feel it will also make me a much better Doctor here in the US.  This is an expensive endeavor to undertake, especially considering that I am still in college.  Any support you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
