El Amor En Los Tiempos de CóleraDuring the cold winter months, it’s nice to stay warm inside with a good book. Gabriel García Marquez, the Nobel Prize-winning Colombian author, has a long list of excellent works to choose from. One of my favorites is El Amor En Los Tiempos de Cólera (Love in the Time of Cholera). The story revolves primarily around the love of Florentino Ariza for Fermina Daza…who rejects his declaration of love when they are younger and spends her life married to the distinguished town doctor. The book details the lives of these individuals and the course of their relationship over a 50-year span. Whether you read the book in Spanish or English, you will become an instant fan of García Marquez!!
