Zoo and Botanical Garden Scientific Research Costa Rica Volunteer Placement
This organization's main aim is to conserve the natural wildlife through education. By establishing a relationship between the zoo and rainforest and promoting biodiversity awareness to the community, they hope to motivatie visitors to participate in the conservation proram and maintain Costa Rica's wildlife.
Volunteers will be trained as tour guides, work in the reception area, and carry out general maintenance tasks throughout the zoo. Specific jobs are determined by the supervisor, depending on the volunteer's skills and the opportunities available.
Work Schedule: Though you ultimately decide how many hours you work each day, the organization encourages you to work as much as possible.

Lodging: Residence
Requirements:
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Minimum commitment: 4 weeks.
- Minimum Spanish level: Mid-Intermediate
- Volunteers must wear clean clothes at ALL time and may not work shirtless.
- Volunteers must wear nametags to identify themselves to visitors
Important Things to Consider:
- The placement is a 40 minute bus ride fromt he residence
Other Comments:
The maximum number of volunteers that this organization accepts is 1-2.
