Past SALUD
participants have been successful in
obtaining academic credit for their
program. There are basically two
types of credit possibilities:
Elective Credits Many participants have been able to get their institution to approve
elective credit for participation in an AmeriSpan
SALUD program. We usually sign a
waiver form from your school but
onsite evaluations should be brought
with you to the foreign
country. The pre-approval involves meeting with faculty
and explaining to them the benefits
of a SALUD program. Sometimes your faculty will request a course syllabus or other information. Just let us know what information you need and we will be happy to assist you.
Continuing
Education Credits We are working on getting some SALUD programs approved by ACCME (Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education) so health professionals can fulfill some of their continuing education requirements.
However, there are a number of other
organizations that issue
healthcare-related continuing
education credit. Again, just
let us know what you may need and
