January 7-February 24: Munich, Germany: Fasching. German version of carnival with lots of fish casseroles and doughnuts.

March 1-9:Rome, Italy: Eurochocolate. Streets are filled with vendors selling NOTHING but chocolate.

August 25: Bunyol, Spain: La Tomatina. Eating is not the focus, but join in and throw some 240,000 pounds of tomatoes at each other.

Mid-September: Naples, Italy: Pizzafest. Honor the birthplace of pizza.

Mid-October: Bordeaux, France: Tasting Week. Food connoisseurs dream of food tastings, cooking demonstrations and more.
