Delegate Scholarship
Overview:
AmeriSpan Delegate Scholarships are available for semester
Academic Study Abroad programs in
Ecuador, France and Italy. Upon completion of your program, you will need to submit a comprehensive report/evaluation of the program and will be required to act as an AmeriSpan Delegate (AmeriSpan Campus Representative) at your college/university for one academic year.
This year,
we are offering ONE AmeriSpan Delegate Scholarship
at following SALUD locations:
Brazil, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala,
Honduras, Mexico,
and Spain. Only one
scholarship per location and
this will be determined on a
first come basis.
Requirements:

Enrolled
- You must have applied and been accepted to an AmeriSpan Academic Study Abroad
or SALUD program
-
GPA
- For Academic Study Abroad
locations, you must be presently enrolled in a US College/University
and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
For SALUD locations, we will
grant one scholarship per
location based on a first
come basis.

- You
must submit 2 reference letters
(academic or professional)

Essay
- You must write & submit an essay
(500 word max) explaining how/why you are qualified to be an AmeriSpan Delegate.
AmeriSpan
Delegate Responsibilities:

Detailed
Written Evaluation
- Upon completion of your
program, you must submit a
detailed evaluation of your
experience and of the
program. This evaluation
should be a minimum 3-5 typed
pages and address things such
as: AmeriSpan's pre-departure
services, ease of working with
your institutions study
abroad and financial aid
departments, classes, facilities,
activities, excursions, lodging
and onsite staff.

Photos
- You should plan to take at
least one roll of film while
at the program. The
focus of these photos are to
show prospective students and
should encompass the
facilities, classes, lodging,
excursions, the city and
country. A copy of these
pictures will be delivered to
AmeriSpan with the Detailed
Written Evaluation.

On
Campus Representative
- You will act as an AmeriSpan
Delegate for at least one
year. You would organize
at least one meeting to share
your experience with
prospective students. In
addition, we may ask you to
talk to students from your
school interested in
AmeriSpan's programs and/or
represent AmeriSpan any study
abroad fairs held on your
campus.

AmeriSpan Scholarship:

Deadlines
- The deadline to apply for an AmeriSpan scholarship is 8 weeks prior to your program start
date. Scholarships are awarded based on merit and/or need, on a first-come first-serve basis.
