Most large orphanages in Thailand provide both lodging and schooling for children and in some cases their families. Besides teaching English, the volunteers are able to work with the children on their vegetable garden and to create activities for the students.
This program consists of working with an orphanage 20 km away from Singburi City. Volunteers have their own center, where they will work with program coordinators to prepare activities and materials for the children. Activities may include arranging sports games, after school programs, giving workshops, gardening in the vegetable garden and some special environmental awareness campaigns like Clean Up The Orphanage with the children. <p> <b>Airport Pickup:</b> <br>Volunteers should arrive in Bangkok (BKK airport) on Sunday, where transportation will be provided to Singburi (about 2 hours north of Bangkok) for the introductory week.
Work Schedule: Determined on site
Location of Placements: Singburi
Lodging: Volunteers will stay in the eco-huts.
