Forestry Conservation Project Thailand Internship Placement
Options
- Full-time volunteer
- Internship
- Part-time volunteer
- Volunteer Only
After nearly a decade of organizing camps and environmental projects, in 2007 Greenway decided to set up a base near Wang Nam Keow in the centre of Thailand to act as a launching pad to provide a stronger focus to its environmental projects and to raise awareness for the situation of the environment in Thailand in general. The ecological centre thus strives to educate Thai people about the importance of saving natural resources and preserving biodiversity. Our Conservation Program works closely with the nearby national forest park and its forest rangers will give you the opportunity to help conserve this beautiful location whilst enjoying nature. This is the perfect program for someone with a keen interest in nature and outdoor activities, and who enjoys a challenge.
The program provides a framework for volunteers to be involved in preserving the spectacular natural resources of the area, and is supported by experienced Greenway Rangers who will make sure you’ll be well looked after during the week.
The camp is packed with loads of exciting field work.
Some of our Conservation Projects:
* Wildlife Spotting and Research
* Building Pathways and fences around the forest areas for protection
* Photography & Monitoring
* Tree planting
* Planting of native species in reserve Forests
* Protection against Forest Fire & Prevention
* Fighting Climate Change & Global Warming
* Environmental education & Awareness
* Recycle-Clean up the World Campaigns
* Observation of Wild Gaurs & Wild Buffaloes

This placement is perfect for volunteers who have a passion for nature. You'll be supported by a Greenway coordinator who will make sure you’ll be well looked after during the week.
