This internship places you at St. Petersburg's only official English newspaper. Because of it's objective reporting style, the paper is very popular, with its main focus on politics, economy, and sociology. In addition, the newspaper also focuses on ecology, culture, and sports. There are many businessmen and expatriates readers, so many international companies and firms advertise in the paper.
As an assistant, interns will be in charge of international promotion of the newspaper, finding new partners, and generating international sales of both advertising spaces and the paper itself. These duties will be further broken down into researching new marekts, developing strategies to introduce products to foreign markets, maintaining existing and prospective parnters, and web marketing.
Work Schedule: 20 hours per week.
Location of Placements: St. Petersburg
Lodging: Homestay with private room and 2 meals or private room in shared apartmenrt with no meals during class. Apartment with no meals during placement.
Requirements:
- Minimum age: 20 years.
- Minimum commitment: 4 weeks.
- Minimum Russian level: Mid-Intermediate
- Some college exerpience.
- Advanced English level.
- Understanding of business communication and coorepsondance.
- Please apply at least 3 months in advance.
Other Comments:
The maximum number of volunteers that this organization accepts is 1-2.
