The Russian-British Chamber of Commerce facilitates trades between the United Kingdom and Russia. The organization provides a monthly business digest and detailed regional/company profiles, organizes exhibitions and conferences, and gives up to the minute Russian business advice.
As an event coordinator, interns will organize activities and conferences, create press releases, write reports about past events, and compile and review comments from participants. Interns will be expected to do basic market research about the St Petersburg and British markets and may be asked to translate texts. In addition, interns will maintain the organization's base of contacts, market for new partners, and receiving phone calls and faxes.
Work Schedule: 4 hours per day.
Location of Placements: St. Petersburg
Lodging: Homestay with private room and 2 meals or private room in shared apartment with no meals during class. Apartment with no meals during placement
Requirements:
- Minimum age: 20 years.
- Minimum commitment: 4 weeks.
- Minimum Russian level: Low-Intermediate
- Some college experience.
- Knowledge of business terms and correspondence.
- Please apply at least 3 months in advance.
Important Things to Consider:
- British citizens are preferred
