Teach English/German Russia Volunteer Placement

This charity, operating out of St Petersburg for the past 13 years, aims to reunite foster children with their biological parents. They are innovaters in the development of alternative family-based care methods. In addition, the chraity continually lobbies for family's rights by contributing to social policy development, on both a local and federal level.
Interns will be teaching foreign languages to children who are from lower class families. You will have the option to teach either English or German, providing both education and entertainment to children and teenagers. To aquaint the children with different European countries, participants will organize several intercultural activities.
Work Schedule: 4-6 hours per week.
Location of Placements: St Petersburg
Lodging: Homestay with private room and 2 meals or private room in shared apartmenrt with no meals during class. Apartment with no meals during placement.
Requirements:
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Minimum commitment: 6 weeks.
- Minimum Russian level: Mid-Intermediate
- Work experience with children
- Knowledge of general policy of the defense of children's rights
- Advanced knowledge English and/or German
- Please apply at least 3 months in advance.
Important Things to Consider:
- All volunteers must attend lectures at the charity before beginning the placement.

The maximum number of volunteers that this organization accepts is 1-2.
