This cooperative is made up of 30 partners who cultivate their individual land plots. The cooperative produces different types of animals, such as cattle, pigs and fish. They also produce pitahaya, coffee, beans, fruits and vegetables. Tasks depend on the time of year, but there is never a shortage of work to be done.
Cattle and eventually pigs and sheep:
Milking
Grassing
Cutting grass and cane and feed the animals (mostly in dry season, Dec-May)
Clearing the stable
General maintenance of fences and pasture crops
Energy:
Cutting firewood (normally thinning the plantations when too dense)
Splitting firewood
Producing charcoal
Work Schedule: Determined on site.
Location of Placements: Various farms near Granada.
Lodging: Homestay with local family.
