Due to war and other violence, many children in Nepal have lost their parents. The country is already at a disadvantage because of extreme poverty and political instability, so these orphans need as much help as possible. That is why eight orphanages have been created throughout Nepal.
Volunteers will be responsible for the childrens' well being, academic progress, and personal hygene. This will involve helping the kids brush their teeth and shower, making sure their homework is done each night, and serving food. Volunteers will teach the children English each day, and those that do not wish to teach will care for the orphans who do not attend school during the day. You may also be asked to help with administrative tasks, cleaning, gardening, and organizing evening activities.
Work Schedule: 30-40 hours/week.

Requirements:
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Minimum commitment: 2 weeks.
- Minimum English level: Advanced
- Love of children.
- Patience and flexibility.
- Good knowledge of English language.
Important Things to Consider:
- Volunteers who do not wish to teach may take care of the children who do not attend school.
- Volunteers will live in the orphanage, rather than with a host family.
Other Comments:
The maximum number of volunteers that this organization accepts is 3-5.
