Of Oaxaca's 3 million+ population, over 10% are disabled. Of that percent, more than 25% are children. To combat this devistating demographic, the government has teamed up with a local philanthropist to provide rehabilitative care for the citizens of Oaxaca and Chiapas.
This modern center offers pools, play rooms, and machines. In addition to the children's physical rehabilitation sessions, their parents receive counseling at least once a week to learn methods to better help them in their daily life.
Volunteers will assist the staff members with water aerobics and other activities. If needed, participants will be expected to assist in the store as well.

- Experience in physical therapy or special education is recommended, but not required.
Other Comments:
The maximum number of participants that this organization accepts is 3-5.

Volunteers must go in for an interview between 10am and 12noon, and fill out an application. Work schedule will be established during the interview and varies from volunteer to volunteer.
