Mexico Volunteer Placement
The University of Guanajuato is one of the oldest higher education institutions in Latin America. Its educational activities began in the 18th century, teaching courses related to mining (an important economic activity of the time). Currently, the univeristy maintains a high academic standing in all areas, in addition to having a successful foreign exchange program. This placement in particular is responsible for providing students with the elements and tools needed for language study. This is done through the use visual and audio materials, books, magazines, web links, etc. The class also incorporates guided conversation.
Volunteers are in charge of providing educational materials, administrative tasks, monitoring class conversations, and motivating students to speak in foreign languages outside of class as well.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00a.m.-2:00p.m. or 4:00p.m.-8:00p.m.

Lodging: Host family
Requirements:
- Minimum age: 21 years.
- Minimum commitment: 4 weeks.
- Minimum Spanish level: Mid-Intermediate
- Knowledge of other languages
Other Comments:
The maximum number of volunteers that this organization accepts is 3-5.

This project only runs from January-June and September-December.
