The Municipal System for the Integral Development of Families (DIF) is a public organization which aims to provide comprehensive welfare services for the development of families within the state of Guanajuato. The DIF is targeted towards those most in need- women, children, and the elderly. They also hope to improve the community by creating better living conditions. This program in particular provides activities for the city's elderly, aimed at maintaing their mental and phsyical health.
Volunteers will participate in ocupational activities with the elderly and develop new proposals for their care and attention.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 4:00pm-7:00pm
Location of Placements: Guanajuato
Lodging: Host family
Requirements:
- Minimum age: 21 years.
- Minimum commitment: 4 weeks.
- Minimum Spanish level: Mid-Intermediate
Other Comments:
The maximum number of volunteers that this organization accepts is 3-5.
