Medical Project India Volunteer Placement
Options

- Volunteer Only
In a developing country like India, many social and economic constraints put additional pressure on medical centers and hospitals to provide adequate services to patients. Community clinics and small hospitals are under-staffed, under-funded and are always welcoming of additional support from qualified individuals with enthusiasm and a desire to make a difference. Volunteers without formal medical qualifications are also encouraged to join the project, helping to restore patients’ general will through personalized attention, recreational activities, and much needed care and support.
Volunteers will work at community clinics to promote proper hygiene, testing, safe sex, and prevention of easily preventable diseases and conditions. Volunteers will also provide assistance to medical staff with day-to-day activities like managing the center's patient charts, conducting blood tests, injections, etc.
Other related activities will be customized as per the volunteer’s interests, skills, and qualifications.
