This is a non-profit, non-governmental charitable organization, founded in Guatemala in 1998. It is an animal sanctuary, spay/neuter clinic, community veterinary service and education center. The principle activity of the organization is the rescue and rehabilitation of domestic animals.
Volunteers assist with building dog-runs, putting up fences, brushing, bathing and walking the animals; helping with educational programs and the twice daily cleaning of the dog-runs and cat house.
Work Schedule: Varies. Arranged onsite.
Location of Placements: Antigua
Lodging: Accomodations on-site (no meals included)
Requirements:
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Minimum commitment: 4 weeks.
- Minimum Spanish level: High-Beginner
- Related experience.
- Compassion for abandoned and abused domestic animals.
Important Things to Consider:
- Strongly recommended to have rabies vaccine up to date.
- At least one week of language classes are recommended, in order to meet with the onsite staff.

The maximum number of volunteers that this organization accepts is 3.
