A private organization supported by UNESCO that provides counseling and support for street children and their families so that they can return home. This organization works within the public school system as well as in the field. They also provide a temporary home for the children.
Those with Social Work or Psychology background can help the regular full-time staff with counseling for the children. Other volunteers can help in areas such as: administrative tasks, homework help, activities & general care for the children.
Work Schedule: Varies
Location of Placements: Quito (in the northern part).
Lodging: Hostal (shared room, no meals). Homestay available at extra cost.
Requirements:
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Minimum commitment: 8 weeks.
- Minimum Spanish level: High-Intermediate
- 24 week minimum for professional placements.
- Related experience.
Important Things to Consider:
- Although this organization receives support from UNESCO, it is still underfunded. Few resources available.

The maximum number of volunteers that this organization accepts is 2.
