A hospital/long-term care facility for infants through adolescents. The hospital has the following facilities: Operating room, laboratories, diagnostic center, clinic, pharmacy, second hand clothing store, school for children with learning disabilities and physical handicaps, and more.
You can work in the area that you are most interested in or where your skills are most needed. Mostly the work involves spending time with and assisting in the care of the full time residents of the home.
Work Schedule: Varies. Full and part-time work available. Schedule arranged onsite.
Location of Placements: Quito
Lodging: Hostal (shared room, no meals). Homestay available at extra cost.
Requirements:
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Minimum commitment: 4 weeks.
- Minimum Spanish level: High-Intermediate
- Related experience.
Important Things to Consider:
- The organizations functions with few resources. Volunteers must be creative!
- Volunteers must be flexible and willing to help wherever they are needed.
Other Comments:
The maximum number of volunteers that this organization accepts is 5.
