This organization is an outreach program started by the San Miguel del Comun Parish. It was formed to provide education to the local indigenous communities outside of Quito.
As a volunteer with this organization you will work in the indigenous schools outside of Quito. You will teach English as a Second Language, coordinate homework assignments and improve homework skills.
Work Schedule: Varies. Usually volunteers should expect to work 5 hours/day, Monday through Friday. 4 hours in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon.
Location of Placements: Surrounding villages (45 minutes from Quito).
Lodging: Hostal (shared room, no meals). Homestay available at extra cost.
Requirements:
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Minimum commitment: 4 weeks.
- Minimum Spanish level: High-Intermediate
- Related experience/interest
- Experience with marginalized communities.
- Experience with underfunded organizations.
Important Things to Consider:
- You will be working in small, indigenous communities outside of Quito.

The maximum number of participants that this organization accepts is 4.
