This is an educational facility that is available to children and youth in Quito. It is an after-school center where they participate in educational activities, tutoring, and recreation. The project was started to offer minority and underprivileged children a place to go after school instead of being on the streets.
Volunteers help by assisting the permanent staff in organizing activities, tutoring and entertaining the children. Children are divided into two groups: ages 3-12 and ages 13-17. Volunteers who have special skills or interests are able to organize activities and workshops accordingly. Volunteers are also available to simply spend time with the children.
