Homeless Shelter
Ecuador Volunteer Placement
This shelter provides food, refuge, and counseling for recovering alcoholics and drug addicts who would otherwise be subjected to living on the streets of Cuenca.
Specific placement tasks will be determined upon confirmation/arrival.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00-12:00 p.m.
Location of Placements: Cuenca
Lodging: Homestay
Requirements:
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Minimum commitment: 4 weeks.
- Minimum Spanish level: High-Intermediate
- Previous experience working with children, teens, or the elderly.
- Previous studies of nursing, psychology, or social work.
Other Comments:
The maximum number of volunteers that this organization accepts is 1-2.
