Institution for day care-taking of elderly people. It is oriented for economically disadvantaged elderly people who live with their families. The State founded it for these people to have a place to go during the day.
Volunteers can participate in a variety of activities. They can teach arts and crafts or any other skill, lead discussion groups, play bingo, help in the garden or in the kitchen or just sit and talk with the elders individually.
Work Schedule: It closes around 4 pm
Location of Placements: Heredia
Lodging: Homestay or Volunteer Residence
Requirements:
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Minimum commitment: 3 weeks.
- Minimum Spanish level: High-Beginner
- Patient
- Skills to entertain people
- Feel comfortable in working in not-structured environments.
Important Things to Consider:
- Could be not a very demanding work
- Tasks depend on Spanish level.

The maximum number of volunteers that this organization accepts is 2.
