The Contemporary Art and Design Museum (Museo de Arte y Diseño Contemporáneo -MADC) was established in February 1994. The museum has been able to provide a space devoted to develop and expand contemporary art and design both nationally and internationally.
Working with computers, working on translations, helping organize the collections, mounting exhibitions, and helping in the museum in other areas as needed.
Work Schedule: Varies. Museum hours are Tuesday- Saturday 10:00am 5:00pm.
Location of Placements: San Jose
Lodging: Homestay or Volunteer Residence.
Requirements:
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Minimum commitment: 4 weeks.
- Minimum Spanish level: Mid-Intermediate
- Good organizational skills.
- Related interest/knowledge.
- Some computer skills.
Important Things to Consider:
- Volunteers must be flexible and willing to help out in a variety of areas.
- Work load varies, volunteers will have to show iniciative during slow times.
