Habitat started in C.R. in 1988 in Esparza, lasted 3 years and built 50 homes. In 1996, due to government housing cutbacks, it began building again in San Ramon. It also operates in Playa Samara.
Construction project to build homes for impoverished people. Houses are built using cinder block walls, tin roofs and cement floors.
Work Schedule: Varies
Location of Placements: San Ramon, Nicoya Peninsula and Monteverde
Lodging:
Requirements:
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Minimum commitment: 2 weeks.
- Minimum Spanish level: Mid-Intermediate

- Hard work
- Basic living conditions
- Sometimes there are no other volunteers
