Costa Rica Volunteer Placement

This organization is comprised of different families who work in a variety of areas including: reforestation, forestry nursery, and agriculture. Volunteers can also work with a local day care center.
Varies from harvesting and planting to gardening, painting, and/or assisting at day care center. You can work in the area you are most interested. Volunteers with teaching experience can work as ESL teachers.
Work Schedule: Varies
Location of Placements: small community about 9 kms. from Monteverde
Lodging: Onsite homestay (meals included).
Requirements:
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Minimum commitment: 4 weeks.
- Minimum Spanish level: High-Beginner
- Related interest or experience.
- Interest in outdoors.
- Interest in local culture.
Important Things to Consider:
- Basic living conditions.
- No nightlife in the area.
- Homestay with families who is part of the project that you will be working on.
- No internet connection.
- At least one week of language classes are recommended, in order to meet with the on site staff.
Other Comments:
The maximum number of volunteers that this organization accepts is 12.
