Established in 1989, this research center specializing in biodiversity management supports and promotes sustainable protection for the country. The organization believes that the best way to conserve the land is to value and enjoys its beauty.
Volunteers will be trained as tour guides and also take up various jobs throughout the center. These tasks will be determined by the supervisor, depending on the volunteer's abilities and opportunities available.
Work Schedule: Determined on site.
Location of Placements: Heredia
Lodging: Residence
Requirements:
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Minimum commitment: 12 weeks.
- Minimum Spanish level: Mid-Intermediate
- Volunteers must bring a copy of their health insurance (insurance is provided in cost of program).
- Personal, business, or school recommendation and references.
Important Things to Consider:
- Placement is a 30 minute busride from residence.
Other Comments:
The maximum number of volunteers that this organization accepts is 1-2.
