Primary school.
Teacher assistant. Volunteers work at the school as tutors of the students who attend Grades 1-6 (ages: 7-13 y.o.). It can be a one on one tutoring or to small groups (3 or 4 students). The work is directed to students who have problems with English or to those who are very good (as a prize). On Fridays, if interested, volunteers can help in P.E. class.
Work Schedule: Varies. Full-time.
Location of Placements: Heredia
Lodging: Homestay or Volunteer Residence
Requirements:
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Minimum commitment: 4 weeks.
- Minimum Spanish level: High-Beginner
- Related experience
- Lots of patience, energy,and creativity!
Important Things to Consider:
- Teachers assistants must be self-directed as teachers are very busy with the students.
Other Comments:
The maximum number of volunteers that this organization accepts is 3.
