Indigenous Culture Integration Chile Volunteer Placement
This organization works with the indigenous Mapuche population to not only improve their quality of life, but revitalize their culture as well. By promoting fair trade and preservation of ancient production techniques, the organization aims to develop their economy so they may sustain themselves.
Volunteers are needed in two separate areas; If you prefer to do research, you can assist with administrative tasks in the office. If you are more apt to working with your hands, you can assist with lanscape and agricultural work. No matter what you choose, you will be in contact with the Mapuche people.
Work Schedule: 9:00-5:30, with a 1 hour lunch break.
Location of Placements: Region de la Araucania (9th region)
Lodging: Residence
Requirements:
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Minimum commitment: 12 weeks.
- Minimum Spanish level: Mid-Intermediate
Important Things to Consider:
- This placement is located about 700 km south of Santiago, so you will be staying at a separate residence during your volunteer portion.

The maximum number of volunteers that this organization accepts is 1-2.
