This community group, founded in 1995, aims to promote the positive development of adolescents through basketball's wholesome values. By taking kids off the streets and putting them in a positive environment, such as on a basketball court, the center is preventing delinquent behavior.
Volunteers can help by teaching English and environmental ethics. In addition, participants will help children with their homework and promote physical fitness. Some volunteers will assist in arranging travel plans for competitions.
Work Schedule: Specific schedule arranged on site.
Location of Placements: Salvador
Lodging: Homestay with shared room
Requirements:
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Minimum commitment: 6 weeks.
- Minimum Portuguese level: Low-Intermediate
Other Comments:
The maximum number of volunteers that this organization accepts is 3-5.
