This travel agency was founded in 1978 with the goal to develop domestic and international travel to and within Argentina. They specialize in personal customer service not only to individual travelers but also to groups. After decades of developing their products and being a consistent market force, the agency has established itself as a very well-known and well-respected travel company. It has recently started developing a new market centered around student travel. The office is small, with about 5 permanent staff.
Volunteer responsibilities progress from very basic office duties such as filing, dusting, making coffee and learning about general office procedures to more involved tasks such as learning about the reservation system and actually making domestic and international bookings. Volunteers should not expect a lot of client contact. Most interaction is with the staff. The longer a volunteer can work, the more involved the work will become.
Work Schedule: Travel agency hours: 09:00-19:00. Volunteers usually work 09:00-13:00. Specific schedule available upon arrival.
Location of Placements: Cordoba
Lodging: Shared room in student apartment. Other options available at extra cost.
Requirements:
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Minimum commitment: 8 weeks.
- Minimum Spanish level: High-Intermediate
- Related experience and/or interests.
- Experience with traveling.
