This organization focuses on a variety of types of international work. One project the organization does is to help place local Argentineans in international employment positions abroad. Another project is organizing various student exchange programs between locals and other students throughout the world. Yet another aspect of the work of this organization is immigration assistance to those in need. Much work is done providing and granting work and/or student visas. Being a small office environment with a very international mix of staff and projects, the work atmosphere is very dynamic and hands-on.

Volunteers will fill the position of Bilingual Office Assistant. Volunteers will maintain primary communication with clients providing personalized information as needed. Volunteers will answer phone calls, emails and be responsible for updating the website. Other tasks include updating files and availability information for the various programs. Depending on the volunteer's skills and experience, it may also be possible to participate in the relations with overseas partners. Those able to communicate both in English and in Spanish may be required to translate documents from time to time.

Work Schedule: Varies. Usually 5 hours/day. Specific schedule arranged upon arrival.

Location of Placements: Cordoba

Lodging: Shared room in student apartment. Other options available at extra cost.


Requirements:
  • Minimum age: 18 years.
  • Minimum commitment: 16 weeks.
  • Minimum Spanish level: High-Intermediate
  • Must be proficient in English and Spanish. Other language skills are a plus.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
