My Fundraising Story - Renee Schreiber

 I had the opportunity to study abroad in college.  I not only improved my Spanish drastically and learned about the culture of the host country, but I also learned a lot about myself.  I became more independent and understanding.  That was over five years ago.  I am now teaching Spanish and English to speakers of other languages.  I would love to have the experience of going abroad again.  I would share my new knowledge of the culture and language with my Spanish classes and be reminded of the trials (and sometimes successes) that my students learning English face daily.  This experience will have a lasting impression on me...and my students!
