Granada International CampusThe Granada Semester Program has been designed so that participating students experience life in Granada, as well as, Madrid and other Spanish cities. After the first five weeks in Granada, students travel to Madrid for an art course, where they have classes not in a classroom setting but in museums, monuments, streets, restaurants, parks, etc.Students participating in the program will earn between 15 and 18 semester credit hours: 6 to 9 of Spanish at their own level, plus another 6 to 9 semester credits in courses taught in English. Past courses in English have included Comparative Religion, Ethnicity and Race, Tourism Management, English Drama, and Art. No prior study in Spanish is required for participation in the program. Class offerings depend on faculty availability and student enrollment.
FacilitiesClasses take place on the campus of one of Granada’s premier international schools. Located in a safe, quiet area in the city center, just a stone’s throw from the cathedral and within walking distance of the Alhambra, the school occupies an entire five-story, air-conditioned building. It is light and airy, with lots of windows and balconies overlooking the street. There is a recreational area to relax with TV, newspapers, and coffee as well as a multimedia suite for students to use. The facilities are state of the art and students share them with others their age from all over the world.
ParticipantsParticipants on the program are undergraduate students from the US and Canada. In addition, this program shares the building with one of Granada's largest International schools hosting students from all over the world.
