Barcelona International College (BIC)

The Barcelona International College is located in one of Barcelona's premier neighborhoods, offering students an active and culturally vibrant atmosphere in which to study. The BIC program combines education through experiencing Barcelona's culture with academics provided by a US university as well as professors from all over the world. It is designed especially with international learners in mind and so affords students a welcoming and academically rigorous environment.

The Barcelona International College (BIC) program is an excellent choice for students needing to customize their academic experience while learning Spanish, as they have the opportunity to receive credit for both Spanish language and elective courses. Some of the most renowned professors in Barcelona teach the courses and students have daily interaction with other international students.

Facilities

Classes take place in a 4-story building in the "Eixample" district in central Barcelona. There are 50 spacious classrooms with audio-visual equipment, a modern library, a sunny roof-top terrace, cafeteria and computer lab with Wi-Fi. The campus is wheelchair accessible and equipped with air conditioning.

Participants

Participants in the program are mainly undergraduate students from the US and Canada. In addition, BIC shares the building with Barcelona's largest International school hosting students from all over the world.

Accommodations

Students have the option of living with Spanish families in homes throughout Barcelona. Living with a host family provides one of the most efficient ways to practice Spanish. Students are included in all family activities, providing integration on a social and cultural level. Students may also choose to live in shared or private room (additional cost) in a fully-furnished student apartment or dorm located near campus. Please inquire for prices.

Note: Accommodation is available Sunday to Saturday, Saturday to Friday (Jordan and Egypt) or Saturday to Saturday (Tokyo) - all other days will have extra charge
