More About The Location

Ecuador was named for its position on the Equator and is bordered by Colombia, Peru and the Pacific Ocean. Not many countries as small as Ecuador have such diverse climate regions. This country has the tallest active volcano in the world, great white sand beaches, tropical rainforests, deep crevasses, colorful Indian markets and is well known for its social and political stability.

Located in a beautiful valley and surrounded by snow-capped peaks of the Andes, Quito is surprisingly friendlier and safer feeling than other large Latin American cities. Furthermore, Quito has kept its colonial charm in spite of growing to a size of 1.4 million. Situated at 9,000 feet above sea level, the temperature averages 60-70 degrees (F) during the day and 40-50 degrees during the night. It is easy to reach most parts of the country in less than a day from Quito. With good facilities and a staff that is both friendly and professional, our Quito programs offer a good value to language students of all ages.
