The Panama Canal, connecting the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, is the Western Hemisphere’s most important conduit for international shipping. Panama City is a bustling city on the bridge between North and South America and is a unique place to study International Law. AmeriSpan’s Spanish for Law program offers legal professionals and students not only the opportunity to improve their legal Spanish vocabulary and grammar, but also to put their skills to use by working in a local law firm and taking part in various relevant legal site visits. The 4-week course is requires a minimum high intermediate Spanish proficiency.

The country’s capital, Panama City, is a good base to see the many points of interest around the country. The city boasts the longest shopping street in the world, Old World charm and modern sky-scrapers. The old district of San Felipe (also known as Casco Antiguo or Casco Viejo) juts into the sea on the southwestern side of town. The cosmopolitan energy and festive Caribbean flair is evident. Moreover, a number of beaches are located 30 minutes to 1.5 hours from the capital.
This S-shaped country is the southernmost country in Central America, bordered on the west by Costa Rica and on the east by Colombia. Although Panama is often overlooked by tourists rushing to South America, the country has some interesting attractions, including the Panama Canal that connects the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. Panama also offers some of the finest birding, snorkeling, and deep-sea fishing in the Americas. In fact, the country's indigenous name translates to "abundance of fish."

Other: Our school is located in Altos de Chases, an upper middle class neighborhood. It's calm, clean and quiet but is within walking distance of El Dorado, a big shopping center with stores, banks, movie theaters and restaurants. The school building is a converted home with classrooms, garden, kitchen and terrace. Free WI-FI and internet access is available. Capacity is 32 students per day.
