Who Participates:
The real
answer to this question is ANYONE who
has a desire to learn a new language or
to improve their current language
skills. Below is the breakdown of
our participants.
To better help you in your
educational travel planning, see our
list of recommended programs for
families, seniors/retires,
professionals, independent travelers and

Financing The Program:The
Higher Education Act permits schools to release federal aid for payment towards a study abroad program
if the student is receiving credit from their home university. This aid is
not predicated on the foreign school or
domestic organization (i.e. AmeriSpan)
being a Title IV institution. For
complete information, click here: www.amerispan.com/financial_aid
Scholarships:There are a
many scholarships available for study abroad programs
including some offered by AmeriSpan.

Fundraising:
Many participants raise money for their program through
fundraising and soliciting donations from friends and family. AmeriSpan's
Sudy Abroad Fundraising program is free to join
and allows friends and family to easily and securely donate to the participants
program. In addition, AmeriSpan can assist with fundraising ideas. Go to:

Academic CreditMany
AmeriSpan participants have received
credit for a wide variety of our study
abroad programs including: College Study Abroad, Language Immersion,
Volunteer/Internship, Teenager, SALUD
Medical Spanish/Portuguese, Teachers & Educators and
Business & Professional programs. If
your institution requires any additional
information in order to pre-approve
credit for study at an AmeriSpan
program, we will be happy to provide
it. In general, we can provide a
course syllabus, transcript, and list
some other colleges/universities that
have granted credit for study at the
same foreign institution. For more
