La Herradura is a great place to learn how to sail. Tranquil waters and soft winds make it perfect for learning this sport, and to be in touch with nature.
Attending a Spanish course in the morning and a sailing course in the afternoon, will give you the chance to put what you have learned into practice!

La Herradura is a quiet and small village situated in a beautiful bay, 80km east of Malaga. This former fishing hamlet now offers facilities and services for visitors without having lost any of it's charm and friendly atmosphere. This part of Spain's long coast line is mostly popular with Spanish holiday-goers who seek mountains dotted with white-washed traditional villages, and long stretches of quiet beaches where one can practice many aquatic sports such as sailing and scubadiving, paragliding, and hiking and rock climbing in the mountains the whole year around.
From its dazzling beaches to its ancient castles, Spain is a country as diverse as the cultures which have influenced its art, architecture, music and lifestyle. It is a land where cathedrals and castles are interspersed with skyscrapers, where modern rock mixes with flamenco guitar, and night clubs compete with cozy "tapas" bars. Spain offers some of the world's most famous museums, resorts, and festivals, making it a unique and enchanting destination.
Participants: Wide age range. Mostly Europeans with some North Americans.
Other: The program consists of an intensive Spanish course and a sailing course with 5 group lessons of 1 hour per week.

- Airport pickup: $145 (Malaga).
- Closed Dates: 1/1, 1/6, 2/28, 3/19, 4/9, 4/10, 5/1, 8/15, 10/12, 12/8, 12/25
- Extra nights: $55/night for homestay or $40/night apartment
- Private classes: $38/hour.
- Seasonal Surcharge: If staying in shared apartment from 6/15-9/15 add $45/wk.
